I was excited to take this class because I have
heard many good things about it. On the first day of class I was very
disappointed that we have to get in groups.. I thought to myself “Ugh, why do I
have to talk to people?” Little did I know that my group members would be so
fun to be around and I ended up having a blast with them! Each trip was
interesting and I actually looked forward to going to class every Friday
despite being late pretty much every class, oops. But it’s ok because I still
made it and I was taught that it’s better late than never. I’m glad I took this
class; I learned to appreciate different forms of art.
Before I would think of
art to consist of paintings or drawings, now anything made with passion and
hard-work can be seen as an art piece. My favorite trip from the semester was
going to Flower Man’s house and seeing all the colorful little houses or
whatever they were. There was a lot of beautiful and amazing things done by
people who aren’t known. For example, on the street art field trip, literally
anyone could show up and paint what they wanted. It’s a shame that they worked
so hard, however no one knows who they are.
Through humid, foggy and even rainy
days, this class made my Fridays more exciting despite the bipolar Texas
weather.
